We offer private surf lessons seven days a week, year round and have a range of packages to suit you. Our lessons are tailored to your individual ability and you can set your own learning pace. You can choose to do one lesson or upgrade to one of our package deals as you advance. Our friendly experienced instructors are sensitive to the particular individual needs of families, women, children, young and old. They will patiently guide you through the learning process, teaching you the basic skills, while covering water safety and surf etiquette.

KIDS SURF EXPERIENCES
JUNIOR SURF SESSIONS
Learning to surf for children isn’t just an ocean of FUN!
It’s an incredible learning journey that exposes children to nature, teaches respect and resilience. Surfing builds confidence and self esteem and aids in developing valuable social and life skills. It creates the opportunity to expose children to an abundance of diverse career paths in the surf industry, as well as presenting the opportunity to excel in an Olympic sport. Children under the age of 12 years old need a little extra attention and supervision, as well as a safe and caring atmosphere to learn. To provide this important attention we only offer a maximum student to instructor ratio of 2:1 for our 8 to 12 year olds. Our Tiny Tots are strictly a 1:1 student and instructor ratio.
JUNIOR INDIVIDUAL SESSION
A fun experience for children 8 years to 12 years old who want to get into the water and learn to surf.

Need a surfboard or wetsuit, don’t have or own gear, or your equipment doesn’t suit the conditions? Don’t stress we have got you! Surfshack has a wide range of equipment available for rent from beginner soft top surfboards, fun hybrids to performance surfboards. Our wetsuits are 4/3 mm glued and stitched in unobtrusive colors.
When renting from Surfshack you also have use of all Surfshack Facilities, including showers, change rooms and lockers.
